Art Classes

For visitors who wish to experience creative activities in addition to appreciating the exhibits, the Museum holds art classes, presenting about four programs annually. In these programs, professional artists or university professors specializing in painting (oil paintings or Japanese-style painting), prints, or other genres provide individualized guidance on basic technique. Beginners are encouraged to apply.
Each program consists of three lessons, held on specified Saturdays and Sundays at the Museum Atelier. Up to 30 may enroll; fees for the classes include insurance. Interested persons should inquire at the information counter, or send a postcard with attached reply card (ofuku hagaki) during the application period specified.
