19 April - 26 June 2022
Larissa Sansour is a Palestinian artist who was represented at the Venice Biennale in 2019 at the Danish Pavilion, the homeland of her partner Søren Lind. The Museum of Fine Arts, Gifu held the group exhibition including her, "Diaspora Now!" in 2017, and collected her artwork. Now we will show additional two video works owned by the Taguchi Art Foundation. She has incorporated the method of Sci-fi (or Speculative Fiction) to focus on her homeland, which continues to be forced into unreasonable circumstances. While she endures the reality where optimistic endings can’t be expected, her creations continue to modernize the story of the homeland and to attract worldwide attention.
